Villa Eleonas - Villa Eleonas

Gorgeous spot and villa, very peaceful and convenient for lovely long beach east end of Acharavi beach. We had no problem with wasps, there were some but to be expected in the summer. Will definitely visit again.

Stayed here in sept/Oct 2020. Booked through Villaplus. The villa is beautiful and secluded and has an outstanding outside area. Unfortunately we couldn't make good use of this as the wasp invasion was just awful,it was so uncomfortable to be outside because of how many there were. We contacted Villaplus who sent a handy man out who used 2 cans of spray which weren't even for wasps. We called again,this time the man used diesel to burn the wasps nest,that he said a friend had told him worked,obviously it didn't work either. We even made our own traps from water bottles in the hope it might trap some.. I felt our issue wasn't taken seriously,we were told several times it was wasp season and they won't harm us,but when youre trying to relax you don't want wasps flying round you constantly. The nest was never dealt with effectively. If they had just paid a professional to use the right chemicals initially our time there might of been nicer. Feel like we wasted alot of money to stay indoors,could of stayed home for alot less. We also had very heavy rain on one night and the villa leaked badly ,again we called villaplus,who didn't even deal with it. If the wasp problem was sorted it would be a nice villa. Car is essential to get to this villa and get around Corfu.
