Ioannis Drakakis, nous a demandé de verser 300 euros sur son compte bancaire et payer cash les 1100 restants à notre arrivée. Nous instruisons notre banque pour ce paiement (avec les coordonnées fournies par M. Drakakis) qui revient en retour (double frais). Avisons le proprio de ce fait et que nous préférons annuler la réservation plutôt que de risquer de perdre encore de l'argent dans le renvoi de ces arrhes. Aucune réaction du proprio, ni navré, ni un mot d'excuses, bref pas vraiment la légendaire courtoisie crétoise ! Très déçus. Marie et Pierre we had booked two weeks, the owner Mr Ioannis Drakakis, asked us to pay 300 euros to his bank account and pay cash the remaining 1100 upon our arrival. We instruct our bank for this payment (with contact details provided by Mr. Drakakis) which returns (double charge). Let us advise the owner of this fact and we prefer to cancel the reservation rather than risk losing more money in the return of the deposit. No reaction from the owner, sorry or a word of excuses, short not really the legendary Cretan courtesy! Very disappointed. Marie and Pierre

Έχει κοντά ταβέρνες και καφενεία καθος και την φυσική λίμνη του Κουρνά. Η παραλία είναι μόλις στα τέσσερα χιλιόμετρα και η πόλη του Ρεθύμνου στα 15. Αξίζει η επίσκεψη σας στον χώρο αυτό. An old house renovated in the traditional village of Kourna with beautiful mountain views and a landscaped terrace with swimming pool for a relaxing holiday. It has close taverns and coffee cafes and the natural lake of Kournas. The beach is only four kilometers away and the town of Rethymnon at 15. Your visit to this place is worthwhile.
R	Reife Ernte on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfassbar schön gelegen, die bessere Alternative zum Hotelurlaub an der Küste. Die Villa ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Die Dachterrasse mit Pool ist das I-Tüpfelchen an diesem Ort. Einzig das Bad ist etwas klein geraten, aber es ist halt ein altes und wieder saniertes Haus, mit ganz viel Charme. Das haben wir also gerne in Kauf genommen. Dafür nimmt man in Kournás am traditionellen griechischen Leben teil. Einzigartig und freundlich sind hier alle. Man gehört dazu, erst recht wenn man bemüht ist auch mal sein Essen oder das Brot auf griechisch zu bestellen... Tolle Menschen leben hier und wir hatten täglich die Qual der Wahl, denn alle drei Tavernen sind sensationell, ursprünglich und günstig. Das Haus liegt wunderbar am Rand von Kournas mit herrlichem Ausblick auf die Berge. Morgens hört man nur die Ziegen, Schafe und den krähenden Hahn, perfekt. Zum Strand sind es dennoch nur fünf Minuten mit dem Auto. Die Nachbarn gehören zur Familie des Vermieters Ioannis und kümmern sich großartig, ebenso wie Ioannis und seine Frau. Der beste Familienurlaub den wir hatten und wir kommen wieder, ganz sicher... Incredibly beautiful, the better alternative to the hotel holiday on the coast. The villa is lovingly furnished and nothing is missing. The rooftop pool is the icing on the cake here. Only the bathroom is a bit small, but it is just an old and restored house, with a lot of charm. So we gladly accepted that. For this, Kournás participates in traditional Greek life. Unique and friendly are all here. It is one of them, especially if you try hard to order your food or the bread in Greek ... Great people live here and we were spoiled for choice every day, because all three tavernas are sensational, original and cheap. The house is beautifully situated on the edge of Kournas with stunning views of the mountains. In the morning you only hear the goats, sheep and the crowing rooster, perfect. The beach is only five minutes away by car. The neighbors belong to the family of the landlord Ioannis and take great care, as do Ioannis and his wife. The best family holiday we had and we will be back, for sure ...

Was uns ein wenig gestört hat war die anders erwartete Privatsphäre (Blick von den Nachbarn ins Wohnzimmer und Teilung der Terrasse durch einen Zaun auf 1m Höhe) und durchschnittliche Sauberkeit. Trotzdem empfehlenswert! Great hosts and good apartment with a great roof terrace and a great view. What bothered us a little was the otherwise expected privacy (view from the neighbors into the living room and the terrace divided by a fence at a height of 1m) and average cleanliness. Still recommendable!

L	Luboš Plšek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a great Place for relax. You will be in the quite Place in the typical Village 5km from the north Beach. You will wakeup on the sound of goat, bees or goose. You can walk 100 m to the local Tavernas and taste local foods and vine. But take into consideration the Taverna with breakfest opens not earlier as 11:00. You can get typical greek cofee at small shop from an old lady earlier, if you will need it. And take into consideration the appartment for one person is realy small with no entrance to the pool, but cozy and quit. And I loved to stay there.
