Villa Palena - Villa Palena

We stayed as a family group for a week at the end of May. The villa was as described, exceptionally well appointed and equipped. Our group was 6 adults and 6 children aged from 3 to 13 who always found plenty to do! The pool, which given the time of year, was heated, was great and was cleaned twice during our stay. The housekeeper, Mrs Sofia visited regularly and was superb, in addition to the housekeeping role she was able to advise on the best shops and fix any small problems that arose. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away, and with excellent tavernas, all slightly different, so we stayed there all week. The beaches were sandy and clean rocks to explore and the swimming was great for all abilities, including snorkelling from the pedalos which were available to hire. A car is a necessity as the nearest shop is about 10 minutes away in Sternes, with some minimarkets further on in Aroni and the major supermarkets a bit further on. The level of care and management of the villa was demonstrated when as we were leaving a team of at least 4 people turned up including a window cleaner!! In all a credit to Kostas and the whole management team for service before and during our stay. Would we come again, yes we would!!
