★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The villa talos is a delightful spot. The house is well laid-out and charming with many neutral zones for different groups to hang at without falling over each other, but also provide spaces big enough to gather together when desired. The owners were kind and very welcoming and eager to attend to our every nèed. Plenty of linens and towels and very comfy beds. Surprisingly not a very well equipped kitchen if you like to cook (we do). Nicely located 10minutes away from the small town of paleochora which has everything one needs plus a ferry connection.
The only downfall is the access road -very steep and narrow. I got used to it eventually, and it was fine- but I sorely wish the agency had it on its info list and fore-warned me. - i certainly would have chosen a more appropriate hire car, and wouldn't have been so surprised (and anxious) in negotiating it the first time around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the best place to stay! Uphill, full of olive trees you ll get the real sense of what it means to live in Crete. Private pool, wifi and one of the most breathtaking views! While staying there you can visit the village of Kantanos, or Paleochora! The very polite owners will inform you about the choices you have! Can't wait to visit and stay there again!
