Kleine Ausflugsboote fahren in den Sommermonaten die kleine Insel Paleo Trikeri an und manchmal legen hier sogar Kreuzfahrtschiffe an, deren Gäste einen Ausflug in den Pilipn oder zur Besichtigung der Meteora Klöster buchen.
The port of Volos is the third largest commercial port in Greece. Except as a cargo handling center and as a port for the small fishing boats, there are regular connections to the Sporades, the islands of Skiathosn Skopelos and Alonissos.
Small excursion boats sail in the summer months, the small island Paleo Trikeri and sometimes even put on cruise ships, whose guests book a trip to the Pilipn or to visit the Meteora monasteries.
