S	Sonja T. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicht sehr spektakulär. Lange Anfahrt über holprige Wege. Und die Mühle ist total zugewachsen. Lohnt sich nicht anzuschauen. Not very spectacular. Long journey over bumpy roads. And the mill is totally overgrown. Not worth looking at.

V	Vio Ja on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wassermühle von Metagitsi. Ein beeindruckender Steinkomplex bzw. dessen Überreste in einem wunderschönen und idyllischen Gebiet. Das Gebäude selbst ist stark baufällig und sollte bzw. darf auch nicht betreten werden. Einst war es eine Wassermühle mit angrenzendem Kloster. Es gibt nur wenige Informationen zu diesem Bauwerk. Das sich heute noch in drei Teile mit unterschiedlicher Datierung gliedern lässt. Der 1. Teil ist die Mühle (Turm), der 2. ist der von den Mönchen genutzte Teil und der 3. ist der Speicher. Das lässt durch die unterschiedlichen Bauweisen recht gut erkennen. Das erste Mal wird die Wassermühle namentlich im Jahre 1659 erwähnt, diese wurde bis ca. 1970 betrieben. Bis Ender der 50er Jahre waren dort auch die Mönche ansässig, die wahrscheinlich auf Grund von Vertreibung das Gebiet verließen. Ursprünglich gehörten viele weitere Gebäude und Ländereien dazu, die Feuer- und Flutkatastrophen zum Opfer gefallen sind. Diese waren im Besitz des Moni Dionysiou (orthodoxes Kloster auf Athos) und der verbliebene Gebäudekomplex, sowie ein kleiner Teil der Grundstücks ist es bis heute. Das Bauwerk steht unter Denkmalschutz. Watermill of Metagitsi. An impressive stone complex or its remains in a beautiful and idyllic area. The building itself is very dilapidated and should not or may not be entered. It used to be a watermill with an adjacent monastery. There is little information about this structure. That still today can be divided into three parts with different dates. The first part is the mill (tower), the second is the part used by the monks and the third is the memory. This can be seen quite well due to the different construction methods. The watermill was mentioned for the first time in 1659, which was operated until about 1970. Until the end of the 50s there were also the monks who probably left the area due to eviction. Originally, many other buildings and lands were added to the fire and flood disasters have fallen victim. These were owned by the Moni Dionysiou (Orthodox monastery on Athos) and the remaining building complex, and a small part of the property is still there. The building is a listed building.
