★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exquisite dishes cooked with ingredients common in Greek cuisine.
Our meal was a feast for demanding palates. The beef ribs cooked with mushrooms and orzo offered the complete package of taste, aroma and texture. We thoroughly enjoyed the carpaccio with Ios island gruyere, the grilled avocado, the crispy spinach chips that came with hummus.
The restaurant offers a good selection of wines. We went for “Avanti” as it is made with Mavroudi and Mavrotragano grape varieties; the latter is the best grape wine Greece has contributed to world civilization.
I would have given Wood 5 stars had it not been for the salad dressing that was not as fresh as it should have been to do justice to the fresh and crispy vegetables.
Also on the downside, it can get noisy with guests talking and the music. This was the reason why we opted for outdoors seating, which was great.

All of the staff are so communicative and make you feel very welcome from the start. Highly recommend. If you are into wines ask for the owner Jo who will guide you expertly and find something for every palate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a very long period, we have return to Wood and had a very nice experience, nice place for Meat Lovers. They have changed the presentation and it is for better.
The potions are big and delicious. You pay for what you get, I fully recommend to try it.
