β β β β β Music is too loud at the bar. House cocktails are very good but I am not convinced with the sangria. There was a strange small around the tables outside the bar. Nice snacks and the waitress was very friendly.

Excellent wine selection, many typical Greek and Cretan wines.
Food is well prepared and well presented.
I will definitely come back

β β β β β We had brunch here. Very nice service and beautiful, tasty food. They welcome you with cold water :) the cinnamon roll pancake and the cheese, honey and walnut sandwich was amazing

β β β β β Xalavro or Chalavro OpenBar is a cocktail bar and restaurant housed in a 1900s building at Korai & Milatos street in the heart of the city of Heraklion.
Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner and amazing cocktails in a unique open air environment in the yard of a traditional Cretan building.
I ordered chicken filet and mojito cocktail. Chicken filet was so delicious but overall I loved the atmosphere and environment in the open air yard. The service was beyond exceptional and I loved the special shisha.

β β β β β We sat here for lunch and a few drinks. Probably the best seating options in Heraklion in terms of comfort and spaciousness. Food was great, the option kitchen was also a nice addition. Seems like an ideal place to enjoy some snacks and cocktails in the evening, so we will be back again.

β β β β β By far the best experience we had in Crete, even probable best experience ever! Service was awesome, very kind and attentive waiters. The vibe is wonderful, great music, great decoration, great hookahs. But the food and cocktails were the best! Each dish is prepared with attention to detail, very tasteful and truly exceptional ! Same for cocktails, unusual and incredible recipes, beautiful presented. It was so good that we went back there the next day just before catching our flight, and we would have gone back again if it wasn't our last day. If you're in Heraklion, you cannot leave without trying this place!! 110% recommend and will go back

β β β β β Service was awesome, very kind and attentive waiters. The waiter had a ritual to pour our Erdinger beer, nice! The vibe is so relaxing, great music and nice decoration. The food was delish β¦ very tasteful and definitely prepared with attention to detail! A must do when in Heraklion!

β β β β β Oh what a find!! Lovely staff and imaginative food. Brunch menu very nice and not too expensive compared with elsewhere. Coffee came with cinnamon and chocolate powders to sprinkle on top. Club sandwiches were delicious. Nothing to dislike and ambiance was lovely.
