Zurbaran Athens - Patriarchou Ioakim 38

4.2/5 based on 8 reviews

Often, bars and restaurants are harmoniously intertwined with the flair of the area they are in. Through an intricate and fascinating exchange they shape jointly the atmosphere of the neighborhood. The city center enters a new era with the arrival of Zurbaran. Nightlife is redefined, staple foods are given a modern twist and the creative art of cocktail is being revived. Zurbaran brings a fresh air in the historic area of Kolonaki. Perfectly mixing urbanity and contemporaneity, it mingles elements of the past with trends of the future. A place that echoes the opulence of urban Athens (and awakens the urban legend of Kolonaki)!

Reserved our table week ago for a Sunday night, but were still given one with one corner effectively cut off as the person sitting there having to rest their elbow on elastic bands attached to a nearby tree. This meant that person had to sit with their elbow raised at a 90 degree angle throughout. When we pointed this out and asked to move they said it wasn’t possible, despite other tables being empty throughout the evening. We didn’t get presented with a drinks menu for 30 minutes and not once did they come back and ask us if we wanted another or to provide us any water in the 30c heat. The waiter the pointedly asked for a tip when he gave us the bill. Food was good, but the service was really poor.

I honestly don't get the hype. The portions are laughable and the food arrives late. Yes, its tasty but you need three plates to satisfy your hunger. The french fries were hard almost like eating toothpicks. There's far better for this price. Staff was kind so here's one more star.

Kolonaki is in one of the richest parts of Athens. Place is in Kolonaki and as it is expected it was classy. The only thing I think place has no identity. Is it A La Carte dinner restaurant, is it wine tasting place, is it coffee place or is it club (it has bar inside) ?! Including all means, not specialized totally any of it in my opinion. Anyway service team was extremely professional. Prices as expected a little bit high but affordable. We enjoyed the experience we had. Wines were tasty and dinner we experienced before was extremely delicious and high quality. But place seems more suitable for lunch or dinner.

Top gastronomic experience in Athens center! Menu got remarkably upgraded since chef mrs Hiliadaki took over. Everything we tried was super tasty and well prepared, service was excellent, covid measures were kept. Pricey, but justified compared to other spots in the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Super trendy! Nice atmosphere and nice people! Pricey, but justified compared to other places in the neighborhood. Very good spot in the center of Athens! The food is delicious and well presented. Cocktails and desserts amazing! Unfortunately it’s difficult to book and when tiu want to make a reservation the staff has a bit of an attitude ? Expect of that… recommended ??
