The climb is worthwhile not only because of the remains of the ancient building, but also because of the great view. Good shoes are useful.

There is not much to see in antiquities, but there is a beautiful view, especially over the town of Erétria and the sea. Great if you like a tough walk and tracking. The route is not well signposted.

Beautiful! There are many ways to approach this lookout. The marked tourist route kecskeösvényig the many ways you can get up to the top. However, if one fails, it will be very nice view of the sea and the surrounding cities.

Awesome and romantic view from the top and slopes of the hill: on top the ruins of the former Temple of goddess Athena. Apollo's temple is downhill by the port. Climbed and visited on December 2017.

The ruins of Eretria are very interesting with good explanations! The Acropolis shows parts of the wall, towers, corner towers, sanctuary of Athena, prehistoric site and a cistern complex. The 360° views from the Acropolis are fantastic! Stunning views of the hinterland and towards Mount Olymbos, also over the Notios Eviokos Kolpus (Gulf) , the ancient ruin city and the modern town and harbour. You can also see some beautiful birds, including a pair of Bonelli's Eagles soaring high above the Acropolis and hinterland.

Highly recommend climbing to the Acropolis. Great views, doesnt take long from the city. There is an easy path following the ancient walls of the fortress
