★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place for a view of the entire Thessaloniki as it is one of the highest spots of the city. The fact that the castle was used many years as a jail makes it even more intruiging to visit. We could also see a nice modern art exhibition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful castle with a museum inside, a good place for all those who love history and who also want to see a breathtaking landscape of Thessaloniki. Lots of symbols everywhere, a quite but still very vivid place. A must see in Thessaloniki.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walk it up early morning and stop for lunch and saviour the views. Pasha's garden is a few minutes away, the Ataturk Museum, and other museums follow near the OTE Tower and White Tower down near. In front the White Tower you can set sail ina pirates ship for 30 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Few kilometers walk from the Aristotelous square, most interesting to see is the fortress/ex prison. Entry fee is 6eur which is a bit high in my opinion since half of the fortress was restricted

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The website said it was closed but we showed up anyways and it happened to be open. The cost to enter was 3 euros. The front desk lady was super friendly and told us a little history of the site. The isolation cells were so cool and creepy. The views are amazing. It was crazy to see how the walls of the city were built many years ago. I would totally recommend checking out this fortress.
