★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πορτάρα (Μεσαία Πύλη). Είναι μέρος των τοίχων στην Άνω Πόλη. Από την Πύλη αυτή βγαίνοντας πηγαίνουμε προς το κέντρο της πόλης. Αντίθετα ανεβαίνοντας πάμε προς περιφερειακή οδό η προς την Πύλη Ακροπόλεως.
Portara (Middle Gate). It is part of the walls in Ano Poli. Leaving this Gate we go to the city center. On the contrary, going up we go to a ring road or to the Acropolis Gate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η μεσαία πύλη της παλαιάς πόλης. Όπως και η ανατολική (στον Πύργο του Τριγωνίου) έτσι κι αυτή είναι μονόδρομος, με φορά προς το κέντρο της πόλης. Αποτελεί κομβικό σημείο για την "έξοδο" από τα τείχη, με αποτέλεσμα να δημιουργείται συχνά κυκλοφοριακό κομφούζιο, ειδικά κατά την διέλευση των λεοφωρείων. Έξω από αυτή και βόρα από τα τείχη, υπάρχει ένα μεγάλο πάρκο που διατηρείτε - ακόμα - σε αξιοπρεπή κατάσταση.
The middle gate of the old town. Like the east (in the Tower of the Triangle) so this is a one-way street, facing the city center. It is a hub for the "exit" from the walls, resulting in frequent traffic jams, especially when passing buses. Outside it and north of the walls, there is a large park that you keep - still - in decent condition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Treceţi prin “Portara” (Poarta Mare), pe sub creneluri, ca odinioară vizitatorii de departe ai cetăţii Tesalonicului (atenţie însă! nu la măgăruşi, ci la maşini!)
Pass through the "Portara" (Great Gate), under the battlements, like the distant visitors of the city of Thessalonica (but beware! Not of donkeys, but of cars!)
