Beautiful location, generous hosts and we'll equipped villas

One of the best places I have ever stayed. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean, tidy, nicely decorated and spacious. The views were all the way to Heraklion and stunning. We went in May 2015 but they were having a heatwave for a couple of days so it was pretty warm 30deg ish (but cool in the apartment because they are very well built). The pool was lovely and quiet though whole place was pretty quiet actually even though it was fully booked as far as I could tell. The surrounding gardens are very well kept. We ended up going to a family birthday party of the owners at the restaurant which was one of the highlights of a fantastic holiday for me (eating, drinking, dancing, bazouki music, singing and even plate smashing (the husband got told off for doing this it was hilarious)). The food at the restaurant was fantastic I highly recommend the slow roast lamb. When we stayed there the restaurant was only open at the weekends so something to bear in mind. You will need to hire a car to stay here and even though we thought we were lost the first time on the way to these apartments we weren't we just needed to keep going as it is VERY far up the mountain but it is a decent road that coaches go up. I recommend going higher up the plateau than the apartments it is so pretty in the orchards, the road is good to get up the mountain but once into the orchards it peters out however the dirt tracks in the orchards are drivable even in a pretty crappy car. It takes about 45mins to drive to Heraklion on a very nice new wide road that should be finished by now that goes all the way to the town down the hill which is good for supplies. I will be going back and that is not something I say often about any place however nice.

A very nice place to stay in the mountains! The owner is very friendly and cooks great original greek meals every evening. Don't miss the breakfast with homemade greek joghurt and honey. A quiet place to relax.

Wonderful place. The view is outstanding and the little houses has big and well equipped. The hosts are extremely nice and will help you with everything you need. It is a little bit out in the mountains, you shall not fear a little mountain road but if you are OK with this the place will suit you. I would go back there anytime.

We loved everything about this place! Such a great welcome! Eleni has such a great energy. We checked in really late which was no problem at all. The breakfast is the best, with local products. The house itself is nicely decorated, really clean and with the most beautiful view. The only mistake we made was to not stay longer (we only had 1 night). We stayed at this lovely place for two weeks and enjoyed every minute. From the first minute we arrived to the very last. Waking up in the mornings brings a great start to your day. The views are fantastic that one can not get enough of. The nights are very peaceful, especially when you are sitting under a star lit sky and a glass wine. The guest houses and pool area are very clean and well equipped for all guests. The breakfast that Eleni cook and set up for you is the best. The wine produced by the family is also very good. Over all our stay here was way more then we expected. Definitely a place to return to. Many, many thanks to Eleni and her husband for make us feel so welcome, like family. This place is simply stunning! It is located on a hill and there are breathtaking views from your own guest house and the swimming pool. The guest houses are very spacious, tidy and clean and have a fully equipped kitchen. It is perfect if you want to stay here for a week or so and do your own cooking. The breakfast is amazing as well, probably the best we had in the whole of Greece. Eleni is super friendly and helpful, and did not have a problem with us checking in quite late in the evening. The only thing we regret is not staying longer!

Most stunning location - views are incredible. A comfortable and peaceful place to relax & tasty, generous home cooked meals by Eleni available on request. Easy access to Heraklion (just don’t trust Google maps for directions in the mountains if you want to avoid roads which turn to steep alleys unexpectedly!)
