★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Indian / Afghan restaurant. Cheap price (dont increase please). They do take away if that too hot outside. They often offer bread and/or water. The price are still cheap but very tasty food. The waiter (young small man) is very nice. He speak a little bit french. I will go back to eat there for sure

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended yesterday with my mother. We had the lamb karahi, the kabul pilou, the chicken kebab and 2 soft drinks. I have to say this was the most tastiest and cheapest restaurant I have been to in Athens. This all cost me a bargain of 12 euros. This would of usually costed me around 25 - 30 pounds in my home country of the United Kingdom. I had only discovered this restaurant by chance and a gold mine it is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rave reviews about this restaurant is from Airbnb guests from Southern Europe who are very impressed by the low price (you can eat a full meal for 5 to 6.50 EUR). However, quantity does not equate to quality!
I lived in Dubai for a few years and the food at the Afghan Watan' restaurant is not Afghan at all. All it is is very oily food. Even the rice which costs only 2 Euros per portion and is of an excellent quality is too oily which is a shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1. We didn't get what we ordered: meat portions came smaller than what we had seen on the menu.
2. Toilets are in a bad condition
3. They served us water bottles- we didn't ask for them. They eventually charged them both (we only used one).
4. Kebab was supposed to be from beef, but it was lamb definitely.
To be fair though, what we ate was tasty.
This is why 2 stars instead of one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very tasty and extremely cheap Afghan food. If you enjoy spicy food, you will definitely like it. The restaurant is not very attractive and the toilets are a bit neglected, but the food is overall really worth it.
