 Superlocation, brand new, in the middle of the action, large balcony overlooking the sea and the cave dwellings. Very nice helpful landlord.

Very nice little apartment in the heart of the city. It is modern and very clean. From the terrace you can see the caves and even a bit of sea. The hosts were very friendly.

Located above the family's own shop, this hidden gem gave us all we were looking for - privacy, comfort and local experience. Giannis, the owner, is a fantastic person who could arrange anything for us, we also met a few times to hang out in the village and his cretan hospitality made our stay one to remember and come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were guests for a total of 3 weeks and every day was wonderful. The hosts are extremely attentive, helpful and gracious. The apartment is located above the family's own shop in the old town of Matala. The apartment has a window to the market square and a beautiful terrace in the 2nd row to the sea. The terrace is like another living area in good weather. There is no real sea view, but we didn't see that as a disadvantage. In the evening you can see the mountain illuminated from the side. The apartment can be reached via its own entrance and a spiral staircase. The very short distances to the beach and the shops and restaurants in the center are unbeatable. We found it pleasantly quiet despite the central location. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very functional. There is additional storage space in the bed box under the bed. Free parking spaces in 5 minutes on foot in front of the town center. We will of course be happy to come back.
