 I think the Municipality of Piraeus should have done something better in displaying the Statue of Themistocles !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Οι προτομές είναι αυτές που απεικονίζουν το υποκείμενο από το κεφάλι έως το στήθος, ενώ τα ολόσωμα τα αποκαλούμε αλλιώς. Συνεπώς δεν είναι προτομή...αφού φαίνονται χέρια πόδια κι όλο το σώμα του Θεμιστοκλή.
The busts are the ones that depict the subject from the head to the chest, while the whole bodies are called differently. Therefore it is not a bust ... since hands and feet and the whole body of Themistocles can be seen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely bronze statue of Themistocles (527 - 459 BC). It is 9 meters tall and was constructed by the sculptor Nicholas Pavlopoulos in 1976. Themistocles was the founder of the naval force of ancient Athens and he played important role in the development and fortification of Piraeus. The right hand of the statue points to the sea.
