The church of Agios Nikolaos in Ano Sagri of Naxos is a single-aisled vaulted church, with an interior covered by successive layers of frescoes depicting the birth and baptism of Jesus Christ. The most recent fresco layer dates from 1270.

Purtroppo sempre chiusa. La strada per arrivarci è una mulattiera sconnessa adatta più alle moto da cross che alle auto. Merita una piccola deviazione se si passa nelle vicinanze. A small church built with stones collected on the spot and little lime, which challenges the passing of the centuries to witness the faith of men. Unfortunately always closed. The road to get there is a bumpy mule track suitable more for motocross bikes than cars. Worth a little detour if you pass nearby.

M	Milton Fang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 10 min walk down a hill from the road. Nothing to get out of your way for. People drive down here on all sorts of vehicles and hop the fences but I guess Europeans kind of do whatever they want irregardless of rules and fences.
M	Michael Andersen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to the church today and it’s beautiful. It was a real piece of history out in nowhere. We followed the signs along the road but they were not really good. Made it hard to find! Honestly, not worth the trip in my opinion.
