Προσέξτε την φλογόσχημη θολωτή οροφή και τα τρία χαρακτηριστικά του τόξα που στηρίζονται σε πεσσούς και επιτυγχάνουν την "ελάφρυνση" του οικοδομήματος. Ενδεχόμενη ύπαρξη στρώματος ανεικονικής διακόσμησης. Οι αρχαιολόγοι υποστηρίζουν ότι ο ναός κτίσθηκε σε θέση παλαιόχριστιανικού κτίσματος. Σίγουρα, πολύ σημαντική για τα δεδομένα των βυζαντινολόγων αλλά και για το μέσο επισκέπτη
Impressive two-aisled church in size and architecture. Pay attention to the flame-shaped vaulted roof and its three characteristic arches that rest on pillars and achieve the "lightening" of the building. Possible existence of a layer of non-iconic decoration. Archaeologists claim that the temple was built on the site of an early Christian building. Definitely, very important for the data of the Byzantine scholars but also for the average visitor

Ναός ἀρχικά δίκλιτος καμαροσκεπής μέ τρία ἐνδιάμεσα τοξωτά περάσματα στηριγμένα σέ δύο ἐλεύθερους πεσσούς. Ὑφίσταται τό βόρειο κλῖτος μέ τέμπλο κτιστό σέ ὅλο τό ὕψος. Στήν ἀχιβάδα σώζεται μέρος τῆς Δεήσεως τοῦ 13ου αἰ. (Ὁ Ἅγ. Στέφανος, στή θέση τοῦ Προδρόμου, βρίσκεται σήμερα στό Βυζαντινό Μουσεῖο Ἀθηνῶν - Ἐνορία Φιλωτίου).

Temple originally double-arched vaulted with three intermediate arched passages supported by two free pillars. There is the northern one with an iconostasis built on the whole height. In the clam, part of the Desolation of the 13th c. (St. Stephen, in the place of the Forerunner, is today in the Byzantine Museum of Athens - Parish of Philotio).
