Канал и мост появились в 1867 году, что пошло на пользу жителям города и озеру, которое имело еще одно название у местных - Бромолимни, из-за неприятного гнилостного запаха сероводорода от термального источника. A small bridge over a narrow canal that connects the freshwater Lake Vulizmeni with the Mirabelon Bay of the Cretan Sea. The canal and the bridge appeared in 1867, which benefited residents of the city and the lake, which had another name for the locals - Bromolimni, due to the unpleasant putrefactive smell of hydrogen sulfide from a thermal source. Sharing water with the sea solved this problem.
