★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called in here for a quick bite after a visit to Koukounaries beach, and the restaurant looks lovely, with a nice cool open area for dining in. We had a couple of pizzas which were peculiarly tasteless, and a bottle of wine which wasn’t. Staff were attentive, and the toilet facilities were good, but the food was a bit of a disappointment which was a shame, as it looks like a lovely place to be. It was, however, quite reasonably priced, so can’t really complain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here three times already, and always had Steamed mussels with white wine and really enjoyed them. Last time the sauce was a bit too salty, I'll try them again next time too see if my feedback was heard indeed.
This time I tried the grilled cuttlefish with cheese sauce (see picture) - it was amazing! This was carefully cooked, showing the distinct difference between a restaurant and a tavern.
The mille-feuille I had for dessert was absolutely fantastic, I'd have it again anytime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very enjoyable dinner at a very convenient location, right next to Koukounaries beach.
Before I get to the food, I’d like to mention that I really liked the space. Large spaces, elegant island-style decoration and architecture. What I also liked is the pizza bar, where you see Mr Kostis, the friendliest pizzaiolo you’ve ever met, makes the pizza dough in front of you ??
? On to the food. Obviously we took pizzas, one with prosciutto and rocket greens, one with ham. Both were really tasty, the dough is really well made and doesn’t sit bad on the stomach.
? We also took the meatballs with fries, a Greek dish loved by many. The meatballs were excellent, with a hint of lemon in them.
? We also ordered the caramelized pancetta with gravy sauce and sweet potato purée. It was simply mouthwatering.
? Other than the above, we had the squid with the black ink and the feta sauce. A lovely combination that I hadn’t tried before.
Last, but not least, we had the chocolate pie for dessert. Yum!
I recommend AlaMar for your dinner after the beach :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried Zucchini starter was amazing but the Moussaka had to be sent back as it was lukewarm. Nice place looks a bit more upmarket and is definitely more expensive than the tavernas at the other end of the Koukanaries road. Not as impressed as I thought I'd be.
