ALBATROSS HOTEL Ξενοδοχείο - Avlamonas Beach

Η διαμονη μας δεν ήταν απλά κακή! ήταν ανύπαρκτη γιατί ο «κύριος» που μας έκλεισε τα δωμάτια μας κάλεσε ένα μήνα νωρίτερα προσποιούμενος ότι μας περίμενε κ δεν είχαμε φτάσει ακόμα! όταν του είπαμε οτι έχουμε κλείσει τα δωμάτια για Αύγουστο κ όχι για Ιούλιο είπε ότι μάλλον εχει γίνει λάθος κ ότι δεν υπάρχει διαθεσιμότητα δωματίων για εκείνες της ημερομηνίες που είχαμε κλείσει! μετά απο υποτιθέμενες προσπάθειές του να μας «βολέψει» κάπου αλλου φυσικά δεν βρέθηκε κάτι κ έτσι ακυρώσαμε κ ακτοπλοικα εισιτήρια κ χάσαμε τελείως τις καλοκαιρινές μας διακοπές! Αντιεπαγγελματιας κ ανοργάνωτος το λιγότερο που μπορώ να πω κ είμαι αρκετά επιεικης!

Fantastic place next to the sea not where the pin is

It is great working in that place during the summer send me a mail or call me for availability. The hotel is located next to the port in front of a crystal clear sea ideal for swimming and other activities. The location set in the map is wrong.

Best place to stay in Serifos, a fantastic guy & his wife are running this hotel, a great base top location in front of main beach free beach lounges & umbrellas for hotel guests, walking distance from Port & bars, eateries shops car/quad rental all fantastic big?.

The hotel, although it's more like rooms to let, is okay. The rooms are in need of refurnishing and the bathrooms could do some hefty work. It's pricy to stay there when it shouldn't be even if it's right on the beach but perhaps Serifos is a bit too expensive for the little it actually offers and this hotel is not the exception. There are good places to go the beach like Psili Ammos which is very close, but paying 80-90 euros for rooms like these isn't really worth it. Should offer more. Our personal experience with a room is flooding from the bathroom, so beware with showering.

We stayed here 4 nights in June 2020, the room was beachfront, mike had the kids learning windsurfing and we had fun, we only booked a car for one day as we chilled much in Livadi and rested a lot. No need for car in general for this island.

Stay away from this hotel if you don’t want to ruin your vacation before they even start. The people managing it probably don’t know the words hospitality, professionalism and respect. Their hotel ad said there is free wifi and when we asked the hotel person that helped us with the reservation confirmed the same. When we arrived, and after having paid a deposit, we were told that the wifi is only available at “common spaces” which was a single couch near the reception (and not at the rooms). As if this wasn’t enough, we were given rooms that haven’t been cleaned for days!!!! Obviously we told them we would leave and would try to find another hotel although that was going to be really hard given the hour on a weekend but the only thing we asked was to get our deposit back. After waiting for a bit, a lady (the owner’s wife) came downstairs to supposedly help us but that’s nowhere near what she did. She was impolite even before we present our case, and when we did say what happened, she responded “OK, I dont care, you can leave”. We then told her about our wish to get the deposit back, she refused in the most unprofessional way ever, yelling that there is a policy. There is NO formal policy written anywhere. There was a FALSE REPRESENTATION on the part of the hotel so they had to reimburse us for this but like I said, no professionalism at all. We did not book through booking and we hadn’t even received a receipt for what we paid. Long story short, the lady who was also pregnant and even tried to make us feel bad for having to talk to her gave in in the end and agreed to deposit our money back to our account. Which NEVER HAPPENED. We tried calling her and her husband a few times. Her husband was even worse, he alleged that we didn’t tell anyone we are leaving which is ANOTHER LIE and with no reasonable explanation he said he’s just not returning anything and he is not afraid of anyone. I m writing all this not because we care about the money we lost but because we really shouldn’t let the future of the tourism of this country in the hands of such incompetent and uneducated people. Whoever wants to call his business a hotel, first needs to teach himself some manners.

Amazing locación by the sea, clean rooms, air con, next to the restaurants and bars. Quiet to sleep. Family business, owner very friendly. He can help you with whatever you need. Place to go
