Alexander's Suites - Main Street

Upon our arrival we were greeted at the airport with a member of Alexander’s staff waiting patiently for us because our flight was delayed. He quickly gathered our luggage and swept us to this picturesque place over looking the water and said we are here. I couldn’t believe that this is where we were going to spend the nest 4 days!!!!! This place was spectacular!!!! Walking distance to shops, markets and even the rental car office, which Alexander personally helped us secure our car. The staff was amazing each morning all we had to do was call the reception desk and ask for our breakfast and within minutes they were setting up our outside table for us to enjoy the view while sipping coffee with a bountiful continental breakfast. We had such a nice stay at Alexander’s Suites with pleasant and helpful staff. They were very responsive and we enjoyed the views, jacuzzi, and delicious breakfasts. We went in the second week of November, right after the height of tourist season, and were able to play with many cats around Oia. Heaven.

We got the suite with the hot tub with the best view, I would say def worth it. It’s about a 10 min walk to Oia proper / the bus station, but this location was fine for us. The room slept 3, with one bed basically in the living room and there’s not a real door to the bedroom but a little divider. We loved having breakfast outside. The people working there were really friendly and accommodating and set us up with a sunset cruise last minute. We were there on the off season so it felt like we had the entire hillside to ourselves. If it were peak season you’d be sharing the porch with other people basically and you can hear all the other people at all the other hotels. Inside the room it’s very quiet though. I will say the robes and slippers are a nice touch, but the slippers get really slippery (go figure) when wet on the concrete floor and all 3 of us fell at some point.

Friendly and helpful Staff :) The place itself was lovely, breakfast was great! I was missing Sun beds on the balcony and the accommodation is slightly overrated in terms of value of money.

Reservation number : 26820552. I booked the apartment with payment on arrival on their website 21.02.2022. But they charged me money before arrival! I canceled the reservation.Now it is 04.05.2022 and I haven’t received my money yet. I am writing them offering various refund options, but they ignore me!

A fine suite that is located at the entrance of Oia. It is right next to the bus stop also within walking distance of a convenience store. Although you cannot oversee the sunset from this direction, it has a nice view of the ocean as well as the white and blue buildings that are the signature of the Santorini. Fortunately, the accommodation is relatively high up so you don't have to walk all the way down to get to where you live and you can also view the scenery at the balcony. Instead of using a phone you may simply use WhatsApp to communicate with the staff. The Wi-Fi is very stable and useful. It seems like the use of a magnet mechanism to control the hot water of the unit I wasn't aware of that the first night and did not put my key in place so I did not have hot water for my shower

It's a bed and breakfast, NOT a hotel and you just pay for the view. Don't come with hotel expectations and you'll be fine here. However, spending nearly 200€ / night it's a bit pricey and we felt a bit deceived. We concluded that prices at Oia are generally much higher with such views so for people that want to compromise on everything except for the views, it seems a comparatively fair priced place. The reasons of why it isn't great have been mentioned in many reviews but to sum it up: - cleanliness leaves to be desired - breakfast is cheap with very bad coffee - staff is generally nice but isn't professionally trained - balconies are all shared with obstructing view lines - jacuzzis are rented by one particular room at a time and not shared. - nearby restaurant makes quite a bit of noise (opened in 2021 I heard). - neighboring hotel staff hangs out nearby in the morning making for a less comfortable stay. - nearby construction with drilling is rather annoying even when it's for a few times a day it's definitely not what you want during your holidays All in all the main problem with the place is that it brands itself as a luxury suite but it's just an expensive bed and breakfast.

The staff was so incredibly friendly and was able to answer any questions we had. They gave us a good overview of what to do in Santorini even during off season. Our room had a spectacular view and we enjoyed the privacy during the quiet season, with the hot tub to ourselves. It was within walking distance to the shops and cafes so the location was ideal for us. The breakfast was prepared swiftly and everything was delicious. I truly enjoyed my stay and hope to return in the future.
