Das Dorf Agii Deka liegt abseits der üblichen Touristenströmen an einer kleinen Durchgangsstraße am Osthang des gleichnamige, 576 Meter hohen Berges. Der Berg selbst ist durch die markante, weiße Radarkuppel auf seinem Gipfel weithin sichtbar. Neben der Radarkuppel befindet sich das meist nur von Katzen bewohntes Kloster Pantokrátoras und, ein Stück abseits, eine dem Propheten Elías gewidmete Kapelle. Im alten Dorf von Agii Deka befindet sich neben Bausubstanz aus byzantinischer Zeit auch die angeblich älteste Taverne Korfus. Ein paar Schritte durch das Dorf und zur Dorfkirche lohnen schon; der Blick in Richtung Gastouri, zum Achilleion und zur Stadt ist herrlich. Einen noch weitaus besseren Blick hat man von Gipfel des Berges, auf den eine etwa 4 Kilometer lange, teilweise steile und enge Betonpiste führt. Der ursprüngliche Name des Dorfes war Galision. Gegründet wurde es von Bewohnern aus dem Dorf Agii Deka auf Kreta, die 823 vor Arabischen Angriffen flüchteten. Den Namen Agii Deka, übersetzt „Zehn Heilige“ verdankt das Dorf der Kirche der Heiligen Zehn Märtyrer.

The village of Agii Deka is away from the usual tourist streams on a small through road on the eastern slope of the 576 meter high mountain of the same name. The mountain itself is visible from afar through the distinctive white radome on its summit. Next to the radome is the Pantokrátoras monastery, which is mostly only inhabited by cats, and a little further away, a chapel dedicated to the prophet Elías. In the old village of Agii Deka there is not only buildings from Byzantine times, but also the allegedly oldest tavern in Corfu. A few steps through the village and to the village church are worthwhile; the view towards Gastouri, the Achilleion and the city is splendid. You have an even better view from the top of the mountain, to which a 4 km long, sometimes steep and narrow concrete runway leads. The original name of the village was Galision. It was founded by residents from the village of Agii Deka on Crete, who fled from Arab attacks in 823. The name Agii Deka, translated "Ten Saints", owes the village to the Church of the Ten Holy Martyrs.
