It is a small zoo and pretty expensive for €10,- per person. A lot of different (but beautiful) birds and a couple other animals like monkeys, turtles and goats. I can reccomend to check the feeding times of the monkeys. For €3,- you can feed them, that was an amazing experience. The park is very good maitained. Overall nice to spend an hour there!

Small but very nice park with very friendly and passionate employees. A lot of exotic birds and monkeys, as well as goats and deers. A highlight is feeding the lemurs! The entrance costs 10€ but completely justified since it's run locally (not financed by the government).

This place was super cute. There was no wait to get it. It is mostly birds, with a few monkeys, a few goats, and 2 deer. We drove an hour, one way to get here. Im not sure that drive was worth it, but if you're in the area, it's a nice setup for what it is. For the monkey interaction, you can go for free or you can pause 2€ for popcorn (to feed the macacas), and/or 3€ (to feed the lemurs). The lemurs are the highly interactive part that I highly recommend. They're super cute and highly interested in the food you'll have to offer. The experienced felt a bit rushed, I'm not sure why, but I'm sure they have their reasons. For the macacas, it's more of a walk thru. You simply hand the whole bag of popcorn to the monkeys and keep walking. For the lemurs, you do get a bit more time (~5min?) before you're then rushed out of the enclosure. The animals seem very well cared for and the grounds are well kept. There's snacks and drinks l to purchase.

This is a must if you come to Crete. Been before so knew what to expect. Not disappointed 2nd time visiting. This will put a massive smile on your face. And worth the money to help with the upkeep of the zoo. Staff fantastic.

A brilliant preserve with a very fun and informative feeding opportunity available where Lemurs can be fed fruit and vegetables in their enclosures. Great detail and variety in birds, primates and goats.

Nice animal park in the midst of the Crete mountains. Entrance fee is 10 Euros for adults. A sufficient amount of parking spaces for visitors exist beneath the location of the park. The monkeys were the absolute highlight to see for my family and me. Visitors are being briefed on how to act when coming in contact with the monkeys prior to the walk through their cages. Still, it's a strange feeling when little monkeys jump on your shoulder on the search for tasty vegetables one can buy at the main shop. After the walk through the park, where the visitor can also watch birds, turtles, goats and other animals, one can relax in the shade at the restaurant, where all parents of small children can collect their buggies, again. The little carts mustn't be taken on the monkey adventure.

A great experience overall. We really enjoyed the cute chimpanzee and lemur section. The only downside was that it only lasted for a little while, just 10 minutes and then they move you over to another section with goats and deers. Also there were bird cages here and there and most of them were empty. However I don’t want to complain too much, because it was definitely a unique experience having these exotic animals interacting with you. It’s definitely worth a visit.
