Amazing wetlands to visit for amateur bird watching. Vast diversity of migrating and non migrating birds. Best seasons are from October to May when numbers are greater.

Ok, so you definitely need transport to explore here, but I loved riding around the roads and tracks that permeate this place. You can see its unusual make up from the map, and it's full of surprises. There are abandoned EU projects of ancient roman settlements, secluded fishing hamlets, canals, caves, wild tortoises, Dolphins, sea turtles, all sorts. A superb little adventure that cost nothing!

Such an amazing place. There's a lot to see and much more to discover.

Complete disappointment. No signs, no information, no interest from the locals, in short total waist .

Pretty, but it is a great shame that one can't ride the small fans on the bicycle. There are small paths, but always ending or the is a gate or fence... ?

Brilliant, but would only recommend if you are an avid bird watcher/ naturalist. We saw elegant flamingos (plenty of them), great white egret, cattle egret, kentish plover, black winged stilt, chetty’s warbler, cormorants, herons and mallards. We also saw many terrapins and tortoises. Afterwards we drove (12 min) to Salaora and were lucky enough to see a Dalmatian Pelican!
