Lovely location near big sand/pebble beach. Visit Pauloukis Taverna for good inexpensive Greek food and friendly service. On the corner as you turn for Anastasios and Petalidi Camping.

This was our second stay there. We stayed at room no. 5 at the ground floor. It is a small space, but enough for 2 adults and a child. We had one king size bed and extra bed that was an armchair turned into a bed. Room is equipped with an inverter AC that was very efficient and quiet, flat screen TV. In kitchen there are big refridgerator with the freezer, regular stove with 4 electric hobbs and oven, kettler, pan, pots, plates and utensils were in great condition. Bathroom is very small but functional. There is a mirrror shower cabin, sink and a toilet. You get 2 complimentary shower gels and shampoos. As the name suggests the establishment is located in a real olive garden, but there are also lemon, fig and banana trees and grapevine from which you can pick the fruits and eat it. There's a children playground too. Interestingly enough laundry service is already included in the price. All you have to do is leave your laundry in a bag, and the clean ones will be waiting for you to put them on the rope to dry. There are several types of bicycles that are free to use by guests. The acommodation is located outside of any village so you'll have to plan ahead to buy groceries. Petalidi is the closest village (5 min drive), but at Messini's main roundabout (10 min drive) there are Sklavenitis, AB Market and Lidl, too. Ari, the owner is very responsive and he resolved some minor issues we had in the room ASAP. Highly recommend the Anastasios Olive Garden to anyone, and would gladly stay there again.

We loved Anastasios Olive Garden!! Such a lovely peaceful and secluded location, surrounded by an olive grove. Nice views of the Taygetos Mountains in the distance. Great apartment, very comfortable and cosy beds, fantastic wet room with rain shower, very well equipped kitchen and the place was spotlessly clean. Lovely sunny terrace outside for lazy breakfasts! 3 Very cute and friendly cats too! Great base for local sightseeing- we did trips to the gorgeous Gialova Beach and Lagoon (see photos) and to Kardamyli in the other direction. Lovely friendly and helpful people. They also sell their own olives, grown on site and cured using age old recipes…divine!! Would definitely stay again if given the opportunity
