Archaeological site of incredible interest. Part of the ancient city is in very good condition. Too bad it is no longer promoted. The lad who showed us the swallows was amazing.

The keeper of the site was kind enough to stay another 10 minutes so that we could take some more pictures. Actually the site had been closed for 20 minutes.

If you are in the area, a walk is worth it. It was the ancient downstream town of Edessa.

An important place that takes you to antiquity and the daily life of the ancient Greek Macedonians who lived here. There are also findings left in the natural space. We thank the lady who made us the tour with joy and love in her work. We recommend it.

Very good example of ancient architecture and city layout. I only wish the excavation works would be more extensive.

This is a magnificent but simple archeological site. If you do a little homework before visiting you’ll be rewarded by a walk through a once important ancient town. It’s free to visit and easy to teach, with a simple car park. There are various helpful signs around the site, somewhat sunbleached but insightful and simple. The site is still under developed but that’s a good thing. It’s good for kids but small children need to be supervised because the site is so open that they could fall and get hurt.
