The Ancient Theater of Evonymos (5th-4th century) is unique in Greece with a rectangular orchestra, which makes it "exceptional" and requires special protection and care. The unveiling of the monument was made by the then NW E.P.K.A. in 1973.

Το αρχαίο θέατρο Ευωνύμου (Τραχώνων)βρίσκεται στη περιοχή των Τραχώνων στο σημερινό Δήμο Αλίμου.[1] Στην αρχαιότητα το θέατρο ανήκε στο αττικό δήμο του Ευωνύμου, ο οποίος εκτεινόταν ανάμεσα στον Υμηττό και στην παραλία του Αλίμου. Το θέατρο αποτελεί το μόνο δημόσιο κτίριο που έχει μέχρι σήμερα ανασκαφεί στην περιοχή.

The ancient theater of Eononymos (Trachon) is located in the area of Trachonas in today's Municipality of Alimos. [1] In antiquity the theater belonged to the Athenian municipality of Evanonymos, which stretched between Hymettos and Alimos beach. The theater is the only public building that has until now been excavated in the area.
