★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience. After havig paid 30% as down payment and the difference in advance, for a 2 weeks rentals, the owner refused to refund 3 days, since I had to leave earlier.
Very very unusual for Greece, where everybody is so kind and helpful. The hotel, for exemple, acceped without problems to refund the difference. Dear Captain, this is not the way to treat a customer that paid 700 Euro in advance!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very highly recommend Captain’s car rental - lovely, family-run business with absolutely excellent service, located opposite where the ferry comes into Gavrio port (literally 30 seconds walk once you get off the boat) so super convenient too. We hired a Dacia Duster 4X4 for a very good price and it was perfect for exploring the island - we definitely appreciated having a 4X4 on the many bumpy dirt roads down to the beaches and up into the mountains. The family who run Captain’s are so friendly, we really enjoyed meeting them and have to say this was overall the best car hire experience we’ve ever had!

Fair prices, very friendly people and it's a family company!
Good communication by mail before I visited also. The captain even helped me out with information in the nearby ferry company.
So if you need a car that's the place to be!
It's located very close where you arrive by ferry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy and good car rental experience on Andros. Office and car pickup are next to the ferry terminal in Gavrio. Prices good and overall booking experience much better than others on the island. Service from Leonardo really good and car was the newest of the ones I rented in the cyclades. 2WD vehicles even if SUV cannot go on all roads in Andros.
