..the signboards are missing or due to time you need a microscope to read them but all signboards direct you to the so called national highway roads where tolls are exceedingly high for reasons every body knows..it's your duty to keep in good condition and in proper positions for travellers signboards so they can use roads where tolls are not required ...

Go there prepared for impolite attention and to wait for hours. It is incredible that a place that supposedly treats with people from other countries, does not have clear information at least in english. At the end, you will learn how it works by asking to the other people in your same situation. There is a guard that controls the appointment requests amazingly rude with the people. Definitely, there is no will to help in the lower levels of the public servants, but if you find the way to talk with the higher levels such as supervisors, they will help you.

Go there if you can afford it with a lawyer. Whatever the cost it will be worth it. I think the personnel try to help but the bureaucratic requests are immense and heaven help you if you don’t speak greek. I wish it was a different location where trucks are not going by every few minutes and you have to inhale the fumes. There are so many abandoned places they could have housed this but this is what they chose. Anyway, do not be alarmed, you will get through it. Somehow things always work out in Greece.

In two hours my wife and I had our permits. We reached out for our appointment January 4th and they replied with an appointment for March 3rd. Fairly Efficient and polite. It’s a government office so it’s not a finely tuned machine but for how much we hear Greek bureaucracy is a hassle, I thought it went smooth. Less than half a day to become a resident, not bad.
