★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eleusis is a wonderful place to visit. It was a place of great importance for Athenians and their city and for me it was a pure pleasure to see it. The Museum is small but nice and worth to be seen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ European cultural capital!!??? What!?
Such an important site is treated like a pile of detritus. The MOST annoying thing are the "attendants": they don't know almost anything of the place and they keep following your steps overwatching you as you are a criminal, without any motivation. They keep ALWAYS staring at you, making your visit uncomfortable, BUT if asked about everything, they cannot really answer. It's sad, but it doesn't worth a visit. Looking at the temple from the outside is the best: such annoying stuff, at least, cannot keep looking at you insisting like only a maniac can do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small but accessible museum on an unexpectedly huge and well preserved archaeological site. Just a €1.60 bus ride from Athens city centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was very hot. No shade, just if you bring children. The informationbords was very uninformativ. In generel greek museums need to inform more. Both religion, historic and myth. In the museum There was No timeline or explanation to the very beautiful miniature sculpture. i could have used something to understand what i was looking at. But the sculptures, the doric colm - All very beautiful. I would go on a weekend or after 16:00. There is a school close by. And aparently they look after kids by yealling in a megaphone? that ruiend it a bit for me, because IT was difficult to Imagine how IT must have been with a man yealling at the kids All the time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The light in this site is unbelievable. Some mystery out of the marbles. Staff in entrance was very polite and informative. Also in the museum. Guides can be arrange also. Acoustic guide would be an extra and will add to the experience. Wooden corridors and stairs needs repairing also some information map with instructions on how to walk the site in a the best way will be very welcome. If you visit with small kids keep them on sight and better by hand because some old caves and wells do exist and some walls are very high and unprotected. Overall is a jewel in Elefsis, with obvious historical interest but also and very charm place to visit especially afternoon before the sunset.
