Great Museum. Does anyone know the original owners of the house and church Evaggelistria opposite? Was it the Ioannides Family? The museum is situated between Kolokotronis and Agio Basileiou Squares Behind the Alex Hotel. A beautiful, unusual museum housed in a building that once was a hospital.

Must visit when in Tripoli. This for an impression of archeological finds in the Arcadia region of the Peleponese. Entrance is outrageously cheap, just 2 Euro. The state of the museum interior screams for a normal entrance rate!

Extremely disappointing. Many cases had no signs and those that did just said cemetery 34, for example. It looked like it had not be touched for 50 years and ironically, the staff followed us around as if we were criminals. Objects liked interesting but no idea what most of them were.

The Museum displays mostly findings from the general area of Arcadia. Very interesting peaces mostly contents from ancient tombs. People are very friendly and willing to answer questions. The place itself could use a good uplift.

This major Archeological Museum provides with deep historical insights and artefacts - some of them even 4000 years old - about the ancient Greek civilization, religion, mythology, customs and culture. Inside, one can find treasures of global cultural inheritance. Some of the sculptures are of rare beauty and historical importance. Most of the artefacts exhibited were found in sites in Arcadia. The entrance fee is ridiculously cheap. Its a shame however the interior walls of the building are not properly preserved.

This pretty classical building, surrounded with a well-tended garden, shelters a huge archeological heritage. Hundreds of artefacts with some treasures of rare beauty. However, sad to say, the museography is totally out-of-date and the building itself slightly decayed.
