K	Kostas Andreadis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ήτανε η ομορφότερη πλατεία της Θεσσαλονίκης, όμορφο άσπρο μάρμαρο με φαρδιά πεζούλια και σκαλιά, περιτριγυρισμένη από πεύκα και κυπαρίσσια στο κάτω επίπεδο. Σήμερα είναι ένα αναξιοποίητο μέρος που κρίθηκε αρχαιολογικός χώρος σε μια πόλη που όπου και να σκάψεις θα βρεις τα ίδια, ίσως και περισσότερα. Ειλικρινά δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω τι εξυπηρετεί αυτή η κατάσταση σήμερα, πέρα από το να δικαιολογήσει την ύπαρξη μερικών ανάλγητων δημοσίων υπαλλήλων της εφορίας αρχαιοτήτων. Και σιγά το εύρημα δηλαδή, μερικά αρχαία τείχη που υπάρχουν παντού κάτω από την πόλη. Αν ρωτήσεις τους αρχαιολόγους θα σου πουν ότι είναι σημαντικά ευρήματα, μέρος του παλιού Διοικητηρίου της πόλης που συνεχίζει σε μεγάλο εμβαδόν μέχρι και κάτω από τις πολυκατοικίες. Ας τα κρατούσαμε λοιπόν σαν έκθεμα και ας ξαναβάζαμε τα μάρμαρα στη θέση τους. Υ.γ: βάζω πέντε αστεράκια για το μέρος (και όχι ότι είναι σήμερα) που έζησα τα παιδικά μου χρόνια, που μεγάλωσα με τόσες αναμνήσεις, εκεί που δίναμε ραντεβού, εκεί που παίζαμε μπάλα μέχρι να μην βλέπουμε πια, εκεί που βρισκόμασταν με τις παρέες μας, στον γύρω χώρο εκεί που δημιουργήθηκαν οι πρώτοι έρωτες και τόσα άλλα! It was the most beautiful square of Thessaloniki, beautiful white marble with wide terraces and steps, surrounded by pines and cypresses on the lower level. Today it is an unused place that was considered an archeological site in a city where wherever you dig you will find the same, maybe more. I honestly can not understand what this situation serves today, other than to justify the existence of some painless civil servants of the tax office of antiquities. And slowly the finding that is, some ancient walls that exist everywhere under the city. If you ask the archaeologists they will tell you that they are important finds, part of the old City Hall that continues in a large area up to and below the apartment buildings. So let's keep them as an exhibit and put the marbles back in place. PS: I put five stars for the place (and not that it is today) where I lived my childhood, when I grew up with so many memories, where we made appointments, where we played ball until we could not see anymore, where we were with our friends, in the surrounding area where the first loves were created and so much more!
