Μέσα και έξω από το νερό είναι ορατά τα λείψανα της αρχαιότητας. An ancient source, "Nama Theophilistaton" (Sofoklis, 825 N.), is located in the center of the ancient city and forms a small lake, surrounded by plane trees. Remains of antiquity are visible in and out of the water.

Η όποια προσπάθεια ανάδειξής της ως αρχαιολογικού χώρου,δεν απέδωσε τα αναμενόμενα αποτελέσματα, απεναντίας μάλιστα [...] Only sorrow is caused by the view of the once lake of Yperia Krini, the well-known Kefalovryso, a former earthly paradise, without water !! Any attempt to promote it as an archaeological site did not yield the expected results, on the contrary [...]
K	Kostas Papavasiliou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μεγάλη απογοήτευση ένας τέτοιος ιστορικός χώρος να βρίσκεται σε ΕΓΚΑΤΑΛΗΨΗ!!! Οι τάφοι ήταν κλειστοί, δεν υπήρχε επιγραφή για το ωράριο λειτουργίας. Η ιστορική βρύση γεμάτη ΣΚΟΥΠΙΔΙΑ. Λυπάμαι όταν βλέπω τέτοιο θέαμα, πολύ περισσότερο σαν Έλληνας που αισθάνομαι περήφανος για το παρελθόν της χώρας μου. It is a great disappointment for such a historic place to be INSTALLED !!! The tombs were closed, there was no inscription on opening hours. The historic fountain full of rubbish. I am sorry to see such a spectacle, much more as a Greek that I feel proud of my country's past.
