This is difficult to rate on a scale. It is one of the best preserved settlements from the special Cycladic civilisation of the bronze ages, and for someone who is awriously interested in prehistory, it guves a very hands on frame for how daily life was for people who lived around 4000 years ago

A secret gem for the island of Ios, an archaeological place with great history represent the ancient civilization of Cyclades. One of the first Greek civilizations. You can visit this place via two ways. The first one is through a path away that starts from Chora. While the second one is through a road from Kambos valley. The ticket price cost only 5€.

Very interesting but only a fraction of the site has been explored and what can be accessed has limited views. Best to also visit the museum in Chora to get the full understanding. Both are 4 euro entry per person.

Bronze Age city on Ios. Good expository signs. Great view. Enjoyed the walk from the Chora. The movable finds are in the museum in Chora.

The visit was a little bit disappointing. You only pay 4 euros (which is cheap), but you basically can’t see much of the site. There are 2-3 sets of stairs that give you access to a tiny portion of the site. You can only see a small side of it and the access to the top is blocked, which is a bummer. I enjoyed watching this site so much more from the trail that goes from the town to this site, because you really have a much better view.

Impressive history and significance but underwhelming access to the site. Most of the ruins are roped off from public access. 3 informational signs dot the area. The 4€ price tag seemed cheap but after walking through the area, it felt like a bit of a rip-off.
