Archontiko Metsovo Hotel - Basilis Zaousis 5

The hotel is just a gem! The owners are kind and polite. The room was excellent, it provided more than we expected. Also the breakfast was splendid with many traditional (home made) options. Last but not least, we enjoyed the facilities at the spa bath which he hotel offers its customers for free! Totally coming again!

We absolutely disliked the way we were treated by Archontiko today. What happened: We spoke 2x on the phone today with the man at the reception about the room of €80 euro that we saw on Booking.com. We tell him this is our max. Budget. First in the early afternoon we asked what the price was if we paid him directly cash. He said “Just come here and we will figure it out!”. Later in the afternoon we called again. The man said the smaller room was booked now but he still had another room. We asked for the price again and he said: “don’t worry we will figure it out!” - knowing our budget of €80 max. We drove 1.5 hour excited to stay at this hotel. We arrive at the reception and ask for the price again. The man says again “Don’t worry we will figure it out.”. He pushes the key in our hands and sends us upstairs. When we come back he surprises us with the price of €150 and doesn’t want to lower it. THIS IS ALMOST 2x OUR BUDGET!?? The budget we only told him 2x today. Is this guy death or just a really bad salesman? ?We feel super misleaded which we told him and he didn’t even apologize. It this how you treat people?? At Archontiko hotel apparently yes.

The staff was super friendly and polite! We got a room with great view, which was clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel is cozy, great for couples and families. Mr. George made us feel like home and let us use the entire spa-room privately! For breakfast you will get everything you can imagine!! P.S. great location and very reasonable price!

A beautiful place, clean rooms, and perfect view. The breakfast was perfect and so tasty. Also the staff was very kind. We will visit them again.

Group of 2. 30th of April-6th of May 2022. What could I say about Archontiko Metsovou Luxury Boutique Hotel? From the moment we arrived until the moment we left everything were great. Helpful Dimitra and friendly George know what Greek filoxenia (=hospitality) is all about and they are making it a reality for their customers. With a smile always, they were advising us on how we can make the most of our day (what to see, where we will eat etc.). Hotel is located in a good location, since it is within walking distance to the square, Averoff gallery with more than 250paintings, Baron Tositsa’s folklore museum (Tossizza Mansion), Averofeios Garden and close to all taverns and shops. Even to the Averoff winery, you can go by feet. The room was spacious with the best view that we could have. The lively but calm and quiet mountain. Every morning you could open your door to the balcony. Firstly, I dare you to smell the refreshing oxygen. And then…you will hear the bells from the grazing sheep. Open your eyes and as if by magic you will see the fog that previously covered the whole mountain wafting to disappear behind the hill. This landscape is enchanting. I lo-lo-loooved the traditional cozy decoration of the room with all this wood and the colorful warm carpets. Light the fireplace and stare at the view outside from the comfortable bed. You will be amazed and you will be lead mentally to calm. The personnel were really polite and helpful. Every day, the cleaning ladies were cleaning the room’s jacuzzi, changing towels, putting new shower gels-shampoos and refuel the fireplace with more logs. Above all, breakfast was so deliciously incredible. The buffet has something new every day to taste and everything was rich and homemade either inside the hotel or from local producers. I enjoyed the local butter and cheese and…..the homemade berries marmalade was addicted to me. You can choose hot eggs, pancakes, bacon-sausages or cold cake-doughnuts-cookies and much more, that I cannot recall on my mind right now. Certainly, you will enjoy it with the mountain view in front of you. Most important, the hotel provides its own underground private parking, since the municipal parking has not enough free spot and parking normally is prohibited on the main streets. Thank you Dimitra and George. Everything was spotless. I will definitely be back to enjoy your facilities for spa, massage, sauna and pool. Warm hospitality, perfect bed, beautiful view from the balcony (in each room), enjoyable spa facilities and very good breakfast. Excellent value for money. We had two separated rooms, connected with another door as one family unit. Very comfortable while traveling with children.

Definitely Archontiko is a very unique place. The location is great, with a mountain view. We spent two nights here. The rooms are nice and very clean, the bed is very comfortable ? The staff is great, very friendly and professional. It was a great experience. ?? ❤️?❤️

Absolutely loved it, the hotel is just off the main square and due to the morphology of the mountainside it is very quiet even though it's so close to everything. Huge advantage the underground parking area. Excellent view, extremely accommodating staff and a fantastic breakfast. The standard rooms are a bit cramped, but overall an excellent experience!
