★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best restaurants we visited during our stay in Platanias! Lovely staff with excellent service and with LOVELY view over Platanias! The food was excellent as well! I recommend this place strongly! And at the end when we were about to leave the restaurant they gave my partner a little gift as a “thank you & good bye” present, it was a cute little Prosecco bottle! 5/5⭐️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you ever find yourself near Platanias, Crete you have to stop at by Astrea restaurant Ano Platanias. We’ve now been there three times on our trip to Greece and have loved every experience. The food is incredible, the staff are extremely helpful and fun, and the environment and views are amazing. Chef George (Jorgen) makes the dinning experience unlike any other. We’ve traveled in Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini and this has been the best food we’ve had the entire trip. I sincerely wish we had this restaurant in the states. Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute gem of a place. Stumbled across it as went to the wrong location for our hotel but was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic view of Platanas. Food was tasty, wine recommendations were fine and was just so relaxing to watch the sea from above.
