★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well it's a place to crash, stinks like an ashtray 24/7 hot box a cigarette from the guy on meth working the front table wearing a wig the vibes were off nothing got stolen and we didn't have any problems despite being in such a sketchy place although we are two fairly built males.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was horrible. As a solo female traveller and my first time in Athens, I felt very unsafe from the moment I walked up the steps. It was dark, dingy, dirty and the staff were absent. The lady that was there when I got in was not friendly either. There were prostitutes near by and when I went to the convenience store I just did not feel comfortable. I left the very next day. Omania in general is not a safe area either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We reserved a private room here and when we made it to check-in we were told the room we had reserved was given to someone else. We were then shown to a 4-bed room and told to stay there without being given a key to the room. Very sketchy neighborhood, and it took quite a bit of time to be let in the front door to a building that basically had no lighting whatsoever. Definitely recommend going elsewhere to stay if possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's ok. Rather strange management style. Old plumbing and noisy unreliable aircon in our room. That said, clean and tidy throughout. This has never been the classiest part of Athens...you get what you pay for...but some very unsavoury characters hanging around the area. OK for a night or 2. The kitchen is a bonus

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t understand why this place is still open. Here’s why;
The NEGATIVE;
-A VERY dangerous district (Prostitute, junkies, everything that you can imagine is there.)
-The actual building is filthy and dangerous the lift to get to the 5th floor has no door and the stairs are dark and very scary(seriously)
-They NEVER cleaned our room for 5 days in a row.
-The shared bathroom are disgusting and one of them doesn’t lock itself.
-The showers... my god.. this is the worst experience I’ve ever did in my life.
-The smell in the building is indescribable but I can assure you that this is disgusting.
The POSITIVE;
-Close to downtown city.
-Cheap (Should be more for what you get)
-The owner is quite friendly and his college too.
I should have rode the comments before booking this place. Honestly if you want to stay for 2+ nights never go there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As with much of Athens, the street looks much better in the daylight, but arriving at night can be off-putting. It's not far to walk to the metro, or most of the main attractions.
The room was basic but does the job for a place to rest your head for a night, and they were happy to have bags left there the next day. The mosquito net in the room's window wasn't properly attached, which didn't lead to the best nights sleep, and some bites. The décor was a few decades behind, and the views not great. The room did have a large television, and a sink. The walls are pretty thin, and it's a noisy place to stay, plus building works next door started very early. The shared kitchen was good.
If you can afford to spend a bit more, there are better places to stay, but if not this will suffice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was dirty, with dust everywhere, and it reeked of a strong smell of cigarettes, worse than any other hostel. Bed was very uncomfortable to the point I woke up with pain in my hip. It's also freezing in the winter.
At least the staff is alright and it's cheap.
I wouldn't recommend it not only due to the poor infrastructure, but because despite it is relatively close to great places to visit, the neighborhood is pretty scary at night, with drug users and prostitution being commonplace on the nearby streets. Avoid it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff where extremely friendly as soon as we got there. Even though we arrived quite late at around midnight. The room we stayed in was clean with blankets and sheets. Although one sheet did seem to have a cigarette burn in. But either way, they where clean. The sink did seem to make a slight odd smell however. Someone previous might have poured something in there. But overall the actual hostel was nice. The stair case leading up to it is a bit daunting at night as there is little to no lighting before you get there. One window has a big hole in it as well. The surrounding area although nothing wrong as such, be ready to see a fee odd looking fellows and sex workers on the street. Unfortunately that's the area this hostel is in. Overall the hostel it's self is good and I would stay there again if needed. The guys at the front desk love Mythos bear as well.
