★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented a car from economy car rental at the Heraklion airport with short notice. The stand is located across from the terminal. Overall, the service was great and they were very accommodating. We had a new car that worked well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service with handing over the car is OK, price is OK, but the car is very old and very worn out.
For the first time in my life, I drove such a wreck .
But despite all the worries, endured the ride the whole week, so at least the reliability was good - 3 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had good experience with this rental car service. The prices are very high everywhere at the moment and here they are reasonable. The man in the kiosk in Heraklion airport was very friendly and allthough the car was not new, it was clean and in good state. We did not pay any deposit, no extra fee for an extra driver and incl insurance. It is advisable to take cash money to Crete. To pay by card costs €10 extra. We experienced that cash is appreciated in a lot of shop and restaurants so we will take cash money with us next time. We had absolute no problems upon returning the car either. All in all, we recommend the car rental.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice experience with Athens Cars, it's never easy to book something abroad with a local company but I can say that everything was ok regarding this rent.
You should know that you get the value of your money - in my case I took cheapest price so I had old Fiat Panda but fully functional :)
You can safely go with them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Straightforward. No fuss. Efficient. Local. Excellent value for money. Cars are not brand new but they are in good condition. Plus they offer all-inclusive car rental add-ons, at a very affordable price. Disregarding the delay we encountered over the confusion of our ferry arrival information, pick up was speedy and efficient: Mr Josef attended to us and was very apologetic over the confusion. Drop-off was equally speedy and efficient: lasted a quick 5 minutes. Fantastic! Do save yourself the hassle of booking with the major car hire companies and book here instead. We highly recommend and will definitely be booking again with Athens-Cars, next time we return to Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a very nice and friendly experience with Athenscars in Crete. Everything went smoothly and efficiently - the lady was waiting for us at the Chania airport, drove us to their company which is just a minute away from the airport. We both checked the car together, took the notes of the car condition, signed the contract and our holiday could start.
The car was in good condition and everything was included in the price which is the most reasonable one we could find in Crete - so, no deposit and none of the additional costs.
The company is local so go for them and support them - excellent value for your money!
Will definitely opt for them next time we come back to Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst rental experience ever. I've rented a car in several countries, but never have I ever gotten a car in such a terrible condition- Toyota Aygo. The clutch was basically non-existent, which made it hard to drive in hilly cretean terrain. While driving, the inside of the car was making noises. The wiper on the back window was broken and used to turn on on every bump on the road. In general the car was just dirty, full of dust and looked like it hasn't been cleaned for ages.
