Really good looking hotel. Fairly new and modern looking rooms. Rain shower is lovely! We went for a regular room, which is quite big already, plenty of space, TV, mini fridge, 2 person bed (2 single beds), desk, balcony. 2 minute walk to beach. Bus stop in front of hotel, which goes directly to Heraklion. The restaurant/bar/tavern that is located against the hotel has good food as well. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Really charming hotel with all the commodities of a 4* hotel. The kindness of staff is really remarkable. Congrats to the team of petousis. I will surely come back again !

We stayed at the Petousis Hotel & Suites for a week, we took the swim up Suite with the private pool. The room is spacious and clean, the bed so comfortable and the pool was clear and clean. The staff is so kind and helpful, Elena and Maria at the reception and everyone else are always smiling and happy to answer any question and helped us plan our daily trips around the Island. The location is great, close to shops and restaurants and easy to get to the city (a short 10 min' drive). The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. Every part of the hotel is so clean and we can't wait to come back again. Thank you for giving us the perfect vacation!

We stay in Heraklion a lot, but needed to drop our car at the DS dealership, so ,y wife wanted to stay here because she ate at the restaurant once. Parking is in a muddy lot 100 meters away, the rooms are probably ok for summer time with kids who want to swim in the small pool on the deck, but otherwise, we will stay in our usual hotel from now on. There isn't even a coffee maker in the room, and the wifi is somewhat of an issue.

Nice and spacious rooms, great pool but not open before 10 am so no pre-breakfast swim. Plenty of parking and some decent restaurants nearby. Beach is close but only soso with a view of the local power plant.

Family friendly, lovely rooms. Very strong aircon which is a must for me, strong wifi also. Paid for breakfast as well, but I'm yet to try it as the line to get in was super busy at 9:30. The eating area is a bit small for the breakfast buffet, it feels a little cramped when it's at capacity. We'll try going down earlier tomorrow. The restraunt attached at the front of the property is amazing. Great staff, reasonably priced food and fantastic atmosphere. Not found anywhere else that compares to it on the strip.

Went here for a week and would do it again! This place definitely exceeded our expectations. The hotel looks new, the rooms have everything you need and everything is clean and well organised. The breakfast is fine and the diner in the restaurant in front of the hotel is great. The people who work here are amazing and so friendly, especially our good friend Kostis is the best bartender I've ever met and made our holiday a whole. His cocktails are amazing. I would love it if the cocktail menu would be bigger, because this guy could definitely make that! Thank you all for this experience in hotel Petousis!

We did not like this hotel for a few reasons: the rooms included very little amenities. We had a very limited set of towels, no slippers, no water and no cosmetics (this last point was fixed after talking to the reception) when we came into the room (although a bottle of wine was offered - but we do not drink wine). The sheets were too small and did not cover the whole bed. The room followed a modern design, which included a shower opening on the sofa/beds - we are not fond of these modern designs and prefer separated bathrooms: even though we could have seen this on the pictures, it was not obvious. This point is more related to personal preferences though. The room that we got had a view over the swimming pools and was right above the taverna, making it a bit noisy if you're a light sleeper. The breakfast ends at 10, we found this to be very early, especially on a vacation mood - as a matter of fact, this is the earliest breakfast closing time of the 3 hotels that we visited in Crete. It was served in a little room near the reception that tended to be pretty full. It is disappointing given the presence of a terrasse overlooking the pool. The breakfast itself lacked quality and quantity. The previous 4-star hotels that we visited in Crete set a high standard, and we left very disappointed after each breakfast in this hotel. The beach nearby is not up to Crete standards. There is a factory nearby and the sand is full of plastic. It was empty all the time we were there, for a reason. If you intend on choosing this hotel because of the beach, don't, there are plenty of significantly better beaches. The surroundings are okay. The taverna seems to be very appreciated by the locals (always full), and there is a supermarket nearby but not much more. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the city by car which is very decent. Please note that there are multiple parkings that are offered by the hotels, but they do not belong only to the hotel. The parking in front of the taverna was often full, but the others had space. Now to the positive: the swimming pools are amazing, the hotel offers access to two swimming pools that were often empty at that time of the year. We enjoyed very much chilling there. The staff that took care of us was also great, they tried to accommodate us as they could. (We requested cosmetics and extra towels, which lacked in the room and they were happy to solve these problems). Overall, we find this hotel to be lacking comparing to other 4-stars in the region. We understand that the rooms follow a style that many people might appreciate and that is up to personal preferences, but the rooms themselves lack amenities that a 4-star hotel should provide (water, cosmetics, slippers, extra towels, sheets covering the whole bed, etc). For the price we paid (~110€/night), we expected better in every level.
