★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Those who stay at the Athina will usually return time and time again. Makis and his staff are the reason we go back. Accommodation is basic but clean. Most rooms have balcony or patio. Makis sees to it everyone gets excellent service and has a great holiday. He really is a most exceptional person. The sister hotel next door has a lovely pool, sun beds and pool bar serving food and drinks. Lovely area and wonderfully friendly locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great basic hotel varied continental breakfast fantastic host in Makis it's in a spectacular position with the beach a couple of yards away! Free air con and in the evening great atmosphere in the bar! Free use of the 5 star Ionian emeralds pool across the road have booked for next year!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly place where owner tries very hard and succeeds getting guests talking to each other, by always introducing new arrivals. Room dated but spotlessly cleaned everyday. Quiet location, short walk along paved shore to main town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is really fantastic. The rooms stay wonderfully cool during the summer and everything was immaculate when I arrived. Less than a minute walk from the beach and a nice bakery just around the corner to buy your morning pastries and a short walk across the beach to the local restaurants that serve fresh fish and other yummy Greek food. The host is super welcoming and friendly and there is a really nice energy and vibe about this hotel. I would definitely recommend to a friend ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location a short walk to the beach excellent local restaurants. Hotel is very basic, but pristine. The owners and staff make you feel you have been coming here for years. Even if it is your first time. This is a very special place. Anything you need the owner Makis will sort out for you. Can't wait to return.
