T	Theodora Draghici on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in Deluxe Double Room Sea View which is in the newest building of the hotel. Very nicely decorated, new modern furniture and bathroom with walk in shower and good water pressure. The bed is actually 2 twin beds but I didn’t mind that - very comfortable matrress with 2 pillows of different types to choose from. The room was spacious, it had coffee machine with capsules and tea maker. The hotel had 3 pools in total (2 of them in the newest part of the hotel in which we stayed). Nice pools with jacuzzi area, and pool bars. Good quality breakfast, nice freshly ground coffee available from 2 coffee machines. Mind that the breakfast, and hotel beach and bar is on the other side of the street, but you can cross the street on the bridge the hotel built. The cleaning was being done every 2 Days.
J	Joseph Honour on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are staying in this hotel for two weeks and so far enjoying the experience. Our allocated room overlooks a small pool and surrounding garden. The room is quite modern and spacious with a well equipped bathroom and excellent shower. There is also a good sized veranda with table and chairs for enjoying the morning sunshine. Breakfast is available in an area adjoining the lounge and the selection of food is very good and should satisfy everyone's requirements. Freshly prepared dishes are nicely presented and encourages to try the various options. Evening dinner is a little more restricted but nevertheless tasty and can be enjoyed within easy reach of the seashore. Sunbeds are available in the pool areas which have refreshments close to hand. Iced water is brought to your adjoining table by hotel staff, a really nice gesture. Needless to say the hotel staff are extremely courteous and helpful making one's stay really enjoyable.

T	Tiina Sormus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breakfast, good. Facilities, good. By the beach. Initially we were in a dark , ground floor room. Moskitos were coming through the loo window. We were later upgraded to second floor, sunny room with a balkony, much better. If you need a double bed, note it in your booking, or you get twin beds as standard in your room.
R	Ramona Pricob on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is gorgeous, clean and very well located close to shops and restaurants, it has access to the beach where you can pay for a sunbed. On the same side of the hotel there is a pool however there aren't many sunbeds and people wake up early to put a towel on to claim it. All staff is super helpful and friendly, especially George. There is a newer part of the hotel across the road that has a couple of pools and a jacuzzi and a lot more sunbeds. Breakfast is good and there is a lot to choose from. They have a pretty good option for lunch and/or dinner too and reasonable prices. The rooms are a little but outdated and could to with a refresh, we didn't get a proper cleaning for about a week but before we even got to say anything, they did it. Platanias is a 15 minute walk, with a lot more bars and restaurants to choose from. Chania is about 30 minutes by bus too. I would definitely stay at Amalthia again.

We stayed in one of the new deluxe rooms on the other side of the road - it was very modern and clean with a lovely view of the pool and garden. All staff were super friendly, but special thanks to Rena on reception for her help. Great breakfast, evening entertainment and lunch/drinks on the beach. We could not have wished for more :)
I	Ian Silsbury on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great welcome here,staff very friendly and chatty. Good menu from breakfast to evening meal options. Bar prices very reasonable. Free wifi.Good pool area and own beach front. Only downside towels need to be out on pool beds early as are always taken. Hotel and grounds very clean but whether due to covid or staff shortages rooms are not cleaned everyday which is more needed than sweeping the terrace. Otherwise a great break.
B	Bryony Reynolds on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great holiday in Crete and a lovely stay. Staff were friendly, the pools were nice, a large choice at breakfast too. It was a relaxing hotel, and nice live music at the beach bar on Friday evening. The rooms were cleaned daily. We had to pay €5 euros for the sun beds on the beach which didn't bother us to much. Its close to nearby bars and restaurants and about a 20 min taxi ride into Chania.
