★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a drive over til moutains ( 40 min from avis Office in Lefkada) we had problems with the clutch. We called for assistance and they came to look at the car. They thought the clutch was overheatet. We were told that we couldt be in trouble on our way back .. they couldt not say. In that case we could call again.
We did not feel safe driving the car back over the moutain with a bad clutch and called Avis in Preveza airport. No help! We were told to drive the car back and we could chance the car i Lefkada City. We have paid full coverage, and did not think Avis would let us drive an unsafe car in the mountains. We have chosen Avis because of the security and service... but that was a mistanke !!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very surprised when Avis (!) gave me 8 years old Hyundai. Suspension was so bad, steering wheel was about 45 degrees off. Couldn't adjust passenger seat. Car was as part of a villa vacation package (suppose luxury...), so I couldn't do much. Luckily we had no problems during week stay. Very lucky.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not use this company. They expect their clients to make their own way back to Preveza Airport by taxi, if an Avis car breaks down. The staff are totally inefficient and blame the poor service and their shortage of staff a a problem. My husband, who kindly offered to drive the Avis client to Lefkada to get a replacement car , despite not knowing the Avis client, was refused a refund for the cost of the fuel!!! A totally incompetent company, which appears to be dominated by the Preveza Airport Avis Rentals Station Manager. Maria

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just found the have deducted from my visa 39 euros 2 days afters I have returned the car With out any reason with out any notice I call Avis Yes Avis central number and they said we dont know anything call the station you took the car .Really Avis really? Lets see how this case will get solved I want my money today not tomorrow ! Shame on you and never never again Avis with secret charges !!!!
