β β β β β Friday night, 11pm, waiting to pick up our car to start our weekend in Corfu. 10 people waiting and more than a one hour wait. One customer service agent servicing because her colleague was sick. Unacceptable welcome to Corfu. The Manager of Avis Corfu should have stepped in to cover his/her colleague who was sick.

β β β β β If you dont have a credit card (which is not in the Czech Rep. common) you have to pay more for full insurance protection than you would pay for the car (130e car, 170 insurance for 7 days). I cancled my reservation and move to company which simply accept Visa. Never more.

β β β β β The car was full of scratches and holes when we received it, and 2 days after, at the departure, they were asking us to prove we were not responsible for them. Also at arrival they made us take an extra insurance.Could it be these two are connected? why hadn't they repaired the previous damages? On the positive side, after making a big fuss, they let us go.

β β β β β The Audi V60 T3 was a huge car for the tiny windy roads of Corfu. We were instructed by Avis' staff that we needed to fill the tank of this petrol (gasoline) powered vehicle with diesel fuel both orally and on the printed instructions for returning the car.
Which became extremely stressful after a gas station attendant put gasoline in the tank and any other instructions in the vehicle were in Greek!
This wasted about an hour of our time and caused us tremendous stress.

β β β β β Excellent service! First time that I actually enjoyed renting a car. The agent at the desk was very helpful and let us choose from the available cars. The ways are very short as well, Desk right in terminal and cars parked on the opposite side of the street. Took maybe 15 min minutes in total. Return was easy as well. Overall surprisingly good experience!

β β β β β Iβve not been using Avis as much as I used to due to customer service, but Avis Corfu have earnβt their 5-stars.
Our flight was delayed arriving into Corfu and we were worried we had missed our rental, but the lady had stayed late and waited for our flight.
We had a free upgrade to a Fiat Tipo (not a fantastic car but it worked and did the job). The lady had a problem with our booking on the computer and did everything manually.
On return, it did feel a little chaotic, but weβre checked in as quickly as they could.
Overall a fantastic service received, price was cheaper than many of the other companies.
