Barozzi Naxos Restaurant - Ariadnis

We popped here for a planned birthday dinner. Upon entry the restaurant is definitely fancy - and the ambiance and decor definitely do not fail. Check out some of the art work for sale, very cool. Unfortunately from this point onwards is all downhill. The restaurant is definitely not geared towards creating cocktails: the "signature" negroni is served with multiple small ice blocks, a massive no-no in a) the cocktail world and b) in warmer climates where the the ice melted within a few minutes leaving me with a gross watered down beverage. At no point throughout the dinner was I questioned as to why there was a glass full of weird coloured cocktail next to me. Very disappointing. The martini was just "ok" + again at this level of should be "wow" not just "hmm k" We have mixed reviews on the food: the vegetables (apparently grown in their own garden) tasted great - definitely top marks to the vege set. The Orzo dish tasted great but the serving was a bit on the smaller side so definitely not a full meal. The rabbit ravioli looked great - but we all know rabbit is notoriously difficult to cook, the chef's inexperience showed here as the meat in the ravioli was very chewy. The serving size was ok but i do question ravioli that's sized into small pieces at top restaurants as typically larger ravioli pieces are observed at 5* restaurants. Service is overall lacking (due to no questions about my Negroni being left) and no questions if we would like anything additional. Overall it's hard to give anything above 3* - whilst many reviews have left great feedback our experience left us disappointed and was definitely not 5*

Fine dining experience in Naxos. Excellent service and top quality food. Any choice you make is guaranteed to satisfy. Recommendations include the aubergine, beef tartar, goat and beef fillet. Note that for Naxos, this is an expensive meal, but on par with the quality served and ambience.

Almost a solid 5. From the moment you step inside you know you are on good hands. The service is almost impeccable with a few "lagging" moments. They are forgivable as they are good at helping you navigate through the night. We were impressed with the plating and the playfulness of colors, textures and tastes. We'll definitely have a go at the tasting menu when we come back.

A fine dining experience indeed. We ordered from the menu and everything was exceptional. The wine was great also. Bonus for having simple pasta for the kids.

The atmospheric decor of the seating area is accompanied by great music and a list of carefully selected cocktails. Although relatively pricey for the very small portion size of the 6-course Aegean degustation menu, all dishes were beautifully set and flavorful.

While food look pretty. Most of the dishes has fundamental critical errors when eating. Makes a lot sense y why the restaurant was so empty on a Friday night. I sound like such a hater, but appearance cannot compensate for bad flavors. Spent $259+ after tip. Just spend that money on Elliniko, so much more worth it.

Amazing dinner in Naxos! Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful for dishes and wine pairings. Beautiful space and decor. Truly representative of the Naxos terroir and cuisine. One of the best meals we have had in Greece.
