I joined this gym in November, the week lockdown happened. I paid for 3 months (100€) but when paying I sought assurances that if a lockdown occurred I could get a refund. As I was staying in Crete until March we all felt confident that even if there was a lockdown it wouldn't last for that long. How wrong we were! On the Thursday or Friday a lockdown was announced starting that weekend. In all I was able to use the gym four times. December came and went then we entered January and lockdown was extended. Come February I messaged Befit numerous times finally eliciting a response and asking me what I'd like to do. I requested a refund as I planned to leave. They replied and said they couldn't give me a refund due to the poor state of their industry! What a joke! Why is that my problem? All of us are suffering so why should I be made to suffer further and lose money? They said they could extend my membership only. Amazing! I wouldn't even be there to use the gym and they want to extend my membership! Since that message, and writing to them throughout February and then March they refused to respond to my messages and phone calls knowing I would leave and not be able to do anything. I'm a British citizen so obviously no longer have EU rights. I'm sure if I had been from Crete they would not have done this to me. I'm so appalled by their behaviour and their lack of morality. I even offered to only receive 80 Euros refund but no response. I feel scammed. I went four times and basically paid 25€ per time. Again, when paying one of their staff told me I could get a refund if I wasn't able to use their gym due to lockdown. Their lack of communication, honour and morals is appalling. They're so low that they couldn't refund me 80€. I lost my job last year so to me this money would've been useful to have. I hope nobody has this problem with them, I would advise everybody, especially tourists, not to use this gym. They cannot be trusted.
