Very beautiful and unique. I have never seen so many different types of fruits in one place growing in my life. It is a pretty hefty walk (approx. 2.5km) up and down a mountain side. There is a short cut the cuts some of the walking down. There is a large restaurant at the gardens so you will be well rewarded with food, drinks and a wonderful view.

Incredible botanical garden - the best one we've ever been to! Very well laid out, easy for our kids to walk/hike. Beautiful flowers and trees. We had a blast!

Beautiful place. You walk along a terraced path which has a lot of named plants and trees on each side of the path. At the bottom of the path there is an fairy tale lake with peacocks and ducks. The tavern at the top is nice as well and has a gorgeous view over the garden.

An absolute must if you are on Creta. 2,5 km of lasting impressions that nature gives us. Divided into different themed areas, the tour is not only beautiful for the eyes ? ? Everywhere you can perceive new smells. And finally, the visit to the restaurant rounds off the day. Very tasty food and good service.

The park and gardens are enjoyable and their collection of plants and animals makes for a nice walk. The best part has to be the restaurant though, the service, setting and food is amazing. Locally sourced organic ingredients, cooked in a traditional wood fired oven, all served while you take in the amazing view of the surrounding hillsides. They also have a great l selection of local wines and beers!

We went here on a day trip during our one week stay in Chania. It's a day trip that will live long in our memory. The whole trek takes about two and half hours. The place is just breathtakingly beautiful. It's well setup and informative. I have never seen that many peacocks and peahens in one place ?. The only thing I should mention is that the garden is not disabled friendly or those with some walking difficulties.

Such a wonderful place and all, we had a walk around the park with our 9 year old and thou he got a bit frustrated at his parents stopping to read up on the different plants in the garden he still by the end of the day liked it. The restaurant has plenty of shaded tables and a wonderful personal. We had a salad and the lamb pie and shared them among us three and it was plenty of food for us. As a dessert we got some fruit on the house, the oranges are super tasty and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone but especially to any gardening nerds out there.

Very different setting for a botanical garden! The entrance is perched at the top of a rocky outcrop and they've successfully managed to design a steep descending garden and it's not so steep incline on the other side of the ravine. Paths are rough and steep in places with not much to hold on to if you aren't fit or able! The abundance of interesting flora and citrus fruits are worth going to see. The reward at the end is a superb restaurant with excellent food. A bit too early in the year to see it at its best.
