Right in the heart of the port. Very traditional house with view of church from balcony. Lots of stairs to climb but we knomrw that and not a problem. Clean and well run.

Fantastic little bargain guesthouse in a really convenient location a short walking distance from the harbour. The owner was really helpful and even opened up in March (pre-season) just for us. Rooms are basic but clean, comfortable and charming, with a balcony to enjoy the Hydra sunshine. Lovely.

I am surprised and confused at how good the reviews of this place are. It's by no means the word I've seen, but it definitely doesn't warrant 5 or even 4 stars. Location - it's okay, very close to the port, but Hydra is a tiny island so you'll struggle not to find accommodation close to the port. The view was not fantastic. Cleanliness - the place looks clean, but it isn't. The bed spread had oil stains on it, and we found hairs on it, the bedsheets and the floor. Amenities - old, dated, yellowish. This applies to the fridge, the AC unit, and the furniture. The bathroom door was facing the bed and was very thin, so you can hear everything from inside. The shared kitchen - we had a look at it and never went in again. It looked quite disgusting with a very greasy cooker hood, smelly fish in the sink and generally not clean surfaces. Staff - friendly but not particularly efficient. They gave us a double bed when we reserved a twin room; they told us there would be water in the fridge, but there wasn't; they said they'd bring an iron to our room, it only happened the following day. All in all, you will be okay staying here but you won't love it. Even though it was cheap, I would still not consider it value for money, recommend it, or book this place again.

The rooms are simple but well designed and clean (mind you, not spotless). The owner was really helpful and gave us some advice on what to do around the island. The place offers A/C, WiFi and a lobby with a couple of computers in case you need to check something. They also provide towels for the beach and a bathroom even after you check out! Definitely recommended. The prices were really good though. I would pick this place again if I visit the island a second time in the future.

A very nice place in the perfect location with the amazing view of the harbor of the brilliant Hydra island. Very reasonable prices and nice and helpful service apart from a lunchtime. Anyway, there are many convenient facilities available for the guests. All in all, I do recommend this place for the short and long term staying. I liked it much.

It was comfortable and my balcony had a nice view of the city (although not as good a view of the port). They had free beach towels you could borrow. It's also super well-located

Excellent place to stay in Hydra!! Amazing location right in the center, everything you need is close by (port, restaurants, super market), very reasonable prices, extremely clean and lovely room. There is a small balcony which has a nice view of a little street where you can watch the locals and the donkeys pass by, especially in the morning. The room had a fridge, a kettle and cups plus toiletries and shampoos provided. The service was also very friendly and the guest house is even pet friendly (upon request) so you can come stay with your pet! Definitely a great choice for Hydra!
