Brascos Hotel - Moatsou

Hotel is very old and do not deserve 3*, it is 1* Hotel. We were there in July 2021 and in the season peak, they were in middle of renovation! Only selling point, roof bar, was for sure closed. It is terably noisy and you literally cannot sleep with window opened. Stairs are ver dangerous, I slipped twice during 1 day and almost seriously hurt myself. Room is terrible and maybe deserves 1*, maybe. I am now (23.7.21) editing my review after reply from director. Frist of all, you are liar, renovation is not done by the 30.06 and I will attach picture and video, if possible by google review, to prove that. Second lie is running. First of all we were not runing for the bus, as accident happen 20 minutes before bus arrived. Also, your ice and water are not needed by anyone. What you need is that someone send inspection to the hotel and tech you how to do business. Renovation is not done during season peak, that is obvios to anyone except you. Soon you will receve a lot of claims since there is 0 (zero) satisfied customers thst visited in July 2021. I learned a lot from this, hope you will too.

On this occasion, I would like to express my satisfaction when it comes to this hotel and the staff who work here. I was a little scared before coming because I read a number of negative comments on the internet. However, all fear and prejudice disappeared after the first day of staying in this hotel. Today is our seventh day of stay and I have all the praise: starting from the hygiene which is impeccable, the food which is delicious and the kind staff at the reception, in the restaurant, the hygienists, absolutely everyone is very kind. I have hardly experienced anything like this on previous trips. Big BRAVO to all employees! In addition to the above, I would like to mention that the location of the hotel is excellent, in the center across from the old town, everything is close (supermarkets, pharmacies, clinic, bus stop, beach). All recommendations.

The holiday experience is phenomenal. I recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to be in the city center, at the entrance to the old town, close to restaurants, cafes and city beaches. Hotel services are for the highest mark: friendly staff at your service at all times, delicious food, excellent hygiene, regular cleaning and tidying of rooms. The hotel staff really tries to make you feel at home. Great service, we were pleased with unbeliveable kindly stuff, big recomendation.

We're a couple and we stayed there 2 weeks ago. Although the stuff tried to be polite, there were many downsides to our staying. First of all roof Cafe-bar was closed to renovation (during hot season?! And no one told us beforehand) and that led to three problems, one was that the room TV wasn't getting any signal cause of the antenna misplacement from the renovation, secondly the pool was under that construction site, so the water was full of garbage and dirt and thirdly we woke up the next morning due to the construction work right outside of our window. Other than that, the hotel is really old and the windows had no noise reduction to the outside main street (with traffic during the day). There is no air-condition but instead it offers a ventilation which was very noisy and the control was on the wall near the entrance door, so you'd have to get up to go turn it on/off. Also there were some broken tiles in the bathroom and the fridge was so old that it never managed to make our water bottles cold. The mattress was so worn out that we could feel the springs popping when we were moving... Only advantage was the location... Never to visit it again!

Great local hotel, very friendly and caring staff, very clean, excellent home made food, a few steps from the old Rethymno city, and a few minutes walk from the beach and marina. We've been staying there for 8 years now ??. PS: The first year we arrived late in the evening and the cook had prepared and left our diner in the kitchen ? ?

The “hotel” is in a very bad condition. Literally it was sad seeing rooms so poorly maintained. We stayed for 4 nights, 2 of which we bathed with COLD water. While expressing our complaint for the cold showers during rainy weather with low temperatures at the receptionist we got the following reply “no one else complained about this” . In general the reception desk was rude in all our requests/suggestions. Breakfast was nice but nothing special. The bathrooms were with broken tiles, rusty taps and dirty. The ceiling also in parts was about to fall apart over our heads. Curtains were burnt with cigarettes allowing from the holes the light to enter the room. Of course there were no shutters to protect front sunlight. We had requested late check out but it wasn’t provided and we were informed the mst day before arrival. Check in was also very late ~14:00-15:00. We had booked rooms in 5th floor and ended up in 1st floor. Prices are not reasonable for the poor quality and unhygienic conditions of the hotel.

rooms are not as in the pictures, the TV did not work in the room and when we asked the reception to fix it they said they solved it but they still didn't work, in the picture the rooms look spacious but they are not in the room for 3 people, go past the beds, the door to the balcony barely opened and the light did not work, and I had cables hanging from the wall on the balcony, in the bathroom when you took a shower all the water was scattered all over the bathroom, and when you left the bathroom you went out on the tiles continue from the hall to the room and you had to keep your walls from falling, the curtains were dirty, and my friends found cockroaches in their rooms, and the hotel management took advantage of some customers
