First, I must say I love their Talagani cheese which comes with the most exquisite homemade figs+cranberry marmalade, and that was the reason I came there again. However, the staff was unpleasant, especially the barman who was the only English speaking person on shift. The restaurant was half empty, and yet he was irritated by every communication I've made. At first I thought it was because he was busy taking out a large order, which is understandable (and yet), but as it quieted down and I asked for the bill, he literally rolled his eyes and scoffed. How weird. I know this is not how they usually are, I've been served by a lovely, little English speaking staff on a 3 times busier day, so I'm not sure what was his problem. At some point the waiter (no English) pointed his attention at me, he muttered Ti Malaka... As if it's not the most known and common word in Greek. The Talagani cheese gets 5 stars, the barman takes away 2. Hopefully when you go there you'll enjoy the first and avoid the other ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do: Get the tzatziki! Drink the wine! Make friends with the lovely owner and servers! Don't: Try to walk home after the above ;) It's a lovely little place overlooking the old wall. Great food, very reasonable pricing, very minimal corkage (2 euro). We had the tzatziki, grilled potatoes, pork bites, spicy sausages and talagani cheese which were all delicious. Drinks are very affordably priced too (7 euro for a half litre of wine). Very friendly staff, servers spoke great English and the owner came out to chat to all the tables (I heard him go in Greek, English and even Spanish which is pretty impressive!). We got dessert on the house (mini brownies tonight) and when we tried to tip, we got another round of drinks on the house. We went on Friday night and while busy, we got a table right away and hardly waited any time for our food. Would recommend, great food and personally didn't think it was a tourist trap at all (like is often the case with eateries so close to sightseeing spots).

An amazing experience. The location and ambience is perfectly cozy yet with ample space and a view of the old castle wall , the staff were attentive and swift and so friendly and of course the food was incredibly delicious and well priced for the portions offered. We love this place and will come back whenever we are in Thessaloniki. Efgaristo

Although it used to be one of our favorite places the last time we visited the place we were a little bit disappointed. The meat was not of the quality expected and the prices were high enough. Staff was kind, lovely view when sitting outdoor. Tips: You should try mushrooms on the grill and baked potatoes.
